Electrical Testing Services
Electrical testing is a core component of every project we complete. Whether it is a minor electrical task such as fitting an extra socket or a new complete building installation, each requires certification and verification upon completion. Additionally, all domestic installation certificates are registered with building control under the requirements of Part P.
We use this expertise to also conduct individual electrical testing as a separate service.
Documentation Process
As part of our detailed testing and verification procedure, all electrical certificates are drafted on-site when the information is freshest. Back at the office we use Amtech software to formalise and process them to the highest standards.
This allows us to complete and submit all documentation is a very prompt and efficient manner; something that our clients say really sets us apart.
Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR)
- We help a number of clients to conduct periodic testing and inspections on properties. These can be carried out at changes in tenancy or at regular five–to-ten year intervals during the life of an installation and help to establish the condition of an electrical installation and detail any remedial work that may be necessary. In each case we aim to be prompt and efficient throughout.
Minor Works Certification
- When a project involves the alteration, extension or adaptation of an existing circuit we ensure that regardless of the size of the task a relevant minor works certificate will be issued to accompany your records of the installation documentation and keep everything current. This Minor works certificate confirms the work is compliant with the requirements of BS 7671 and details the extent of the works.
Emergency Lighting Completion Certificates
- Much of our industrial and commercial electrical installation work includes the fitment of emergency lighting. In these cases and due to the highly safety-critical nature of the work, we undertake a validation testing procedure to ensure full compliance with regulations in both function and duration.
Electrical Installation Certificates
- After installing any new electrical infrastructure we test it to verify the design and function of all of the components and wiring. Our documentation is presented at the completion of a project to confirm that the work complies with the requirements of BS 7671.
Fire Alarm Certificates
- As with emergency lighting, this important testing is carried out whenever we install or modify a fire alarm system within any kind of property. We issue the certificate as an official notice of compliance with all the relevant regulations.
